Overview

The Library in StackGuardian provides a central hub for managing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) resources. It supports seamless creation and governance of templates, groups, and policies for streamlined cloud automation and compliance. It facilitates teamwork through features like access control, template sharing, and publishing. It ensures secure and efficient collaboration on cloud infrastructure projects.

Library Overview

Organization Templates​

Organization Templates refer to reusable configuration templates that are owned and managed by the current organization. These templates serve as standardized blueprints to define and deploy various components and policies within the organization's infrastructure.

Workflow & Stack Templates​

Workflow Templates are automated blueprints for provisioning cloud infrastructure. They support rapid deployment with features like version control, JSON-based configurations, and customizable settings for infrastructure components.

Stack Templates combine multiple templates into cohesive workflows, simplifying the management of complex infrastructure setups. They enable efficient deployment of multi-tier applications and support template customization and revision management.

Policy Templates​

Policy Templates enforce compliance and governance by defining rules for infrastructure configurations. These policies ensure adherence to organizational standards and best practices for cloud security, cost, and operations.

Runtime containers​

Runtime containers enable the integration of personalized automation within workflows, providing flexibility and efficiency in cloud infrastructure management and automation.

External Templates​

External Templates are templates not owned by the organization but made available for use. They may be shared publicly or privately with the organization, enabling users to leverage pre-existing configurations for infrastructure setup, governance policies, and runtime management.

Shared Templates​

External Templates refer to templates that are not originally created or owned by the current organization but are shared with current organization to use or made public for general use.

Public Templates​

Public Templates refer to templates that are made available through a centralized template marketplace or catalog.

Active Templates​

Active Templates are templates currently in use within the organization. These can include both organizational and external templates that have been activated for use across the organization's workflows, stacks

Manage Template Revision​

The Manage Template Revision guides through creating, modifying, publishing, and programmatically deploying template versions. This enables auditability, collaboration, and automation across IAC resources in StackGuardian.

NoCode Template Builder​

The NoCode Template Builder provides a visual interface for creating templates without extensive coding. It leverages JSON Schema-based forms and custom UI widgets, enabling users to design workflows and infrastructure with ease.
