1.38.0

What's changed

Release Date: August 27th, 2026

πŸš€ New Features

Run configuration in "Create PR & Plan" (SGCode)

The Create PR & Plan modal now lets you pick a Terraform/OpenTofu version and runner constraints. It defaults to your org's execution presets (or platform defaults) and supports full manual overrides, including mounting your own version.

Agentic Code Fix (Beta)

Fix and suggest changes on agent-generated chats run in the background. Available to orgs enrolled in beta features. Legacy chats keep the existing flow.

πŸ”₯ Enhancements

Role permissions streamlined

The deprecated "Update Rolebinding" permission has been removed from the role builder. Use "Update User" instead β€” it scopes user management by entity type, login method, and principal.

Terraform version pinning requires a Custom Runtime image

Pinning to a specific Terraform version now requires a Custom Runtime image to be set. OpenTofu workflows are unaffected. This applies to Templates, org-level Execution Presets, and Workflow configuration.

πŸ› Bug fixes

  • Connector group edits (AWS/Azure) β€” Description and tag changes now save correctly when completing the full wizard, not just metadata-only saves. Edits also correctly locate the existing group during account listing.
  • Runner Groups β€” Execution Presets β€” A rejected preset save now surfaces the real error message and keeps you in edit mode, instead of failing silently.
  • Workflow launch flow β€” Removed the "New Dev Portal is live" banner from the choose-template step for a cleaner experience.
    • "Fix All Issues" (SGCode) β€” Now available when a completed test plan reports add/change/destroy changes, not just errored plans. The button no longer reappears for plan results that predate an accepted review.
  • Cloud Inventory β€” Workbench footer β€” Fixed a layering issue where the selection-summary footer was overlapping the Support flyout.

More improvements and new capabilities are on the way, and your feedback continues to shape what we build next. Thank you for being part of the StackGuardian journeyβ€”we're looking forward to what's ahead.
